01 - Place the shredded coconut in a blender container.
02 - Pour in the hot water. Blend on high speed for 2 to 3 minutes until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
03 - Line a large bowl with a cheesecloth or clean kitchen towel. Pour the blended mixture through the cloth, squeezing firmly to extract all the liquid.
04 - Using a funnel, transfer the strained coconut milk into a clean glass bottle.
05 - Refrigerate for up to 4 days. Shake well before each use.
